Your donation must be earmarked clearly specifying the purpose as "Tamil Chair". However, a separate non-profit entity, "Tamil Chair Inc", with a dedicated bank account, has been set up. When you send your donation check to "Tamil Chair Inc", they are tracked and published in this website (donors page) unless you want to remain anonymous. This also makes it easy for us to track and know where we are in respect to our target. Paying by cash or check, 100% of your donations will be realized and we will give the full amount to Harvard. If you pay through credit card, Tamil Chair Inc. will receive only the net amount (about 3% less), and will send that amount in full to Harvard University, and issue you a receipt for the same. The donations to "Tamil Chair Inc" are eligible for tax deduction in USA while the donations made directly to Harvard University are eligible for tax deduction in both USA and Canada.
